Why start another website related to the Bible? It is quite likely that in the majority of cases the first glimpse of something about the Bible is enough to move most people on to another site in the seemingly endless stream of hits on a search engine list. But for a few, or for those who have been invited or for the rare few who actually landed here on purpose or possibly out of curiosity, what can one hope to offer that has not already been said. It truth, not much, except to point to the one source of truth that so many have held dear through the ages, the testimony of God's Holy Word. In the early days of planning this site a saying of Christ's kept coming to mind where he makes a very literal statement in John 14:6 "I am the way, the truth and the life no man cometh unto the Father but by me." This plain teaching of Christ summarizes quite simply here how a man can get to heaven only by saving faith in Jesus Christ. Often ignored by the many, scorned by "religious scholars", nevertheless, the Word of God remains our "more sure word of prophecy". I always remember mother's often repeated admonition (her being a music teacher for many years) "listen to the words" of the songs we sing in church, just as I remind folks today. I think of the verse of one old gospel song:

"I must needs go home by the way of the cross,
There’sno other way but this;
I shall ne’er get sight of the gates of light,
If the way of the cross I miss."
